I don't have to job hunt any more.

"Because I just got what may well be my dream job.
I'm goign to be working as an assembly tech. I'll be contracted to various stores to build bicycles, grilles, lawn & garden equipment, etc.
Daily schedule consists of 'show up by 9am and work 8hours'. I'll be working full time, and the manager has no problem with accomidating my schedule to allow for artcar events or other stuff.
I get a guaranteed minimum $10/hour for the first 30 days wit the company. After that I am on a commision basis, based on how many pieces I assemble. I have the potential to make well over $10/hr depending on how fast I can build stuff.
I will be provided with a full tool kit by the company, including a corded impact wrench (they are willingly giving me power tools! Glee!).
Dress code is jeans and t-shirts. And my manager doesn't much care about tattoos, piercings, or colored hair so long as I still look reasonably respectable.
The company is nation wide, and should I decide to move to the boston area in the future, getting a job there would basicly consist of my manger making one phone call.

I start tomorrow morning."

Yaaaaaay, Pixel!

That really does sound like your dream job: minimum supervision, flexible schedule, lack of dress code, and of course Fun Times Putting Stuff Together. Go, you!

I hope that there's a steady enough flow of work that you can get in all the hours you want - that's the only drawback to working on commission. (I'm not really worried that you'll be slow or ineffective at putting things together, because, of course, I know you.)
