Brilliant ideas, a little too late

Darnit, I came up with a great idea for a halloween costume, except that I just came up with it an hour ago, so the best place to wear it (work) it is already too late.
I was thinking that since I always wear black or dark colors and have a goatee, I am clearly the evil twin. So I should have worn bright light colored work clothes and shaved of the goatee and gone as the good twin. Ah well. Maybe next year if I remember.

Huh.

  Today was the one year anniversary of my starting my job at the insurance company. In some ways it seems longer than that, and in a lot of ways it feels like that much time couldn't possibly have passed.

  An unexpected surprise was that my boss informed me today that I was approved for a pay raise, which I wasn't expecting until my next 6 month review in April. Yay for more money.
