So I did a rate-quote thingy for a classic car insurance company just now. I'm currently paying ~$750 a year to insure Emily with the bare-minimum state coverage. This company would insure her for $50Kprop/$100Kpersonal liability and a $10,000 in comp/collision coverage for... $90/year. Yes really.
Only one slight problem. They only cover for 'pleasure driving', attending car shows, parades, etc. Taking her to work once in a while, or going shopping in her, or out to a restaurant, etc. Not covered. In fact if I did that and had an accident they wouldn't cover it and would cancel my policy.
