catching up.
Jan. 3rd, 2001 04:51 pm"This is the first chance I've had to catch up on my journal. It's been a busy couple of days.
So for New Years I drove down to NYC, the drive actually wasn't bad, except that The Cat got completely covered in dirt & salt to the point were you couldn't read part of her. Spent New Years at a friend's place in NYC, hanging out, with her and her firends. We watched the ball drop on TV, then watched the fireworks out her living room window (penthouse apt). The rabbit's fur glove was quite popular, and I recieved several compliments on it. Around 6am we all crashed on the living room rug. About 10am I awoke to find I had been pushed clear off the rug. I guess my geting up woke everyone else up, and we continued to hang out at her place until around 3pm when her parents declared they wanted the living room back. At this point we all drove up to Westchester to one of the other ppl there's place, dispite the fact the friend from NYC had to be back in the city at 7pm. We hung out for a couple hours then I drove her back, on the way back I remembered I had tickets to a Nields concert in Northampton MA that night at 9:30. So I dropped her off, and drove like a bat out of hell for Northampton.
I arrived at around 9:50, and the friend holding my ticket was no where to be found. Instead I ended up being given some random stranger's extra ticket. The Nields oncert was a blast, then afterwards I went to another friend in the area's house for a party, and crashed at around 3am.
At around 10 we awoke and a hour or two later I dragged myself home and slept for another couple hours. After a shower I felt almost human. Spent the next couple of hours catching up on the world I had missed over the past couple days. That night I went to an umfriend's place and hung out with her then curled up with her for the night.
Today was spent running errands, picked up a really cool horn for The Cat that makes all sorts of noises, including a cat's meow! She also got a bath, which she really needed. Tonight I go back up to Northampton for a get-together of the Polyamory group up there.
