"Well, I worked my 12 hours today as planned. I left Toys R Us at 9pm.
One of my co-workers at Pep Boys loaned me the socket he said would allow me to remove the engine mount w/o removing the radiator and A/C condenser. Apparently the only way this is possible is using a 18mm thin walled short swivel socket on a long extension.
Well I'm hoping to go to brunch at one of [A]'s sets of parents tomorrow if I get directions/info in time, and dispite my long day I was wide awake. So at 10;30pm I went out and began ripping the one remaining engine mount out of The Cat. Miricles of miricles it worked, I got the old one out and the new one it with out a huge amount of hassle. And I'm glad I did. The front engine mount was ripped up even worse than the rear, this one was actually leaking. I had engine mount liquid seeping out all over the place.
A test drive and some minor adjustments and the job is done."

"My Pep Boys manager has me scheduled until 2pm on Wednesday, dispite my having specificly asked to only work until noon that day as I'm in a parade in RI that afternoon.
I left him a note attached to the schedule informing him of this. Whether or not he changes the schedule I'm leaving at noon."

(Look out! He's got a plan!)

"I have decided I'm going to spend today doing nothing of any importance. I'm going to get in The Cat and go driving. I'm going to stick to all secondary roads and try and go somewhere I've never been before.
I'm also going to try and...

  • have lunch at a roadside stand.
  • find a town name that makes me laugh out loud.
  • find a tag sale, and buy something there for exactly 75 cents.
  • buy something that kids are selling from a card table on the front lawn.
  • visit at least three states (there is an advantage to living where the states are small).
  • have dinner in a diner.

I'll let you know how successful I was when I return..."
