obsessed with my car? me?
Jul. 1st, 2001 12:22 am"Well, I worked my 12 hours today as planned. I left Toys R Us at 9pm.
One of my co-workers at Pep Boys loaned me the socket he said would allow me to remove the engine mount w/o removing the radiator and A/C condenser. Apparently the only way this is possible is using a 18mm thin walled short swivel socket on a long extension.
Well I'm hoping to go to brunch at one of [A]'s sets of parents tomorrow if I get directions/info in time, and dispite my long day I was wide awake. So at 10;30pm I went out and began ripping the one remaining engine mount out of The Cat. Miricles of miricles it worked, I got the old one out and the new one it with out a huge amount of hassle. And I'm glad I did. The front engine mount was ripped up even worse than the rear, this one was actually leaking. I had engine mount liquid seeping out all over the place.
A test drive and some minor adjustments and the job is done."
