Bad day

"Weel yesterday was a bad day for The Cat.
I recieved my order of POR-15, a really amazingly cool rust converter guaranteed to seal rust completely and prevent it from spreading. I'm planning to use it on the bottoms of the front doors, the rear hatch, the rear wheel wells, and one rocker panel. Those are the only rusty areas on The Cat, and in almost all cases the rust is very minor (not bad for a 10 year old 226K miles car that has spent it's whole life in the northeast). Well while getting a closer look at those areas I discovered the one exception to the 'minor rust'. The bottome edge of the front passenger door is rotted completely through. I can jab a screwdriver through the panel all along the bottom of the door. This is way beyond the POR-15's abilities, so I'm going to have to replace the door.
Well I was pretty bummed about this as could be expected. I finished cleaning out, vacuuming, and washing The Cat and headed over to [C]'s place. Well along the way a cop decided that dispite the fact that I was in the middle lane, following a line of traffic adn otherwise keeping up with the traffic around me that I was still going much to fast, and gave me a $236 ticket to express his displeasure. He also made some snide comments about The Cat and told me that if I modify a car I have to take it into the DMV and have it inspected to 'make sure it still matches the registration'. He also told me 'I could give you a $78 ticket for not doing that.' Gee thanks officer, how nice of you to not ticket me for something that no police officer in CT has ever mentioned to me since I began modifying my car in 1998. (and I have had lots of encounters with cops, both in official capacities and casually)
The door is not an immediate concern as it's not as if it's going to be any worse if I wait a while to replace it. And I'm going to send the ticket in Not Guilty, since that will a)give me a chance to save up the money to pay it and b)I might be able to get away with not paying.
The fact that I still have to reregister The Cat ($74) and that the car insurance bill just showed up today ($42.13) is turning this ito a expensive couple of days."

"Hot, hot hot. Really damn hot. Hot enough to melt my earwax.
Feh.
I want fall, or spring. I'd even settle for winter.
I'm down to about the minimum amount of clothing I can/am willing to wear at my mom's place and it's still too hot."
