"So I've been spending at least some time every day this week getting ready for Carol's visit over the weekend.
    Thus far I've:
  • laid in a supply of different chamomile-free teas,
  • put the pile of LEGOs back in the bins so one can walk through the front-room of my bedroom withoiut accompanying crunching noises.
  • generally cleaned my room so that there isn't piles of junk everywhere (I can live like this but there is not reason to force other ppl to even for a weekend).
  • actually found the replacement door handles for her car (they turned out to be under the front seat of The Cat).
  • gotten the hard part of 'The Plan' finished.
  • I'm doing laundry now, including the sheets for the bed.
  • gotten a haircut, heck gotten a lot of them cut.

The things I still have left (that I actually remember):
  • finish laundry and put it away.
  • take out trash in room.
  • finish up drawn out but easy part of 'The Plan'

I'm really looking forward to this visit, especially since I missed my chance to go up and visit her two weeks ago."

"After having two ppl wondering why I had taken them off my friends list I figured I'd state publicly about how my friends list tends to work.
Overall I try and keep my friends list down to a reasonable readable size. This means being careful adding new ppl to it and removing ppl I am not reading from it.
So if I realize there is someone on my friends list whom I don't have sufficient sychronicity with, whom is posting about stuff I'm not connected to or interested in or about ppl whom I don't know and/or don't care about. If I find myself skimming over their posts without reading them they will eventually get taken off my friends list. If they post a lot and I'm not reading it they'll get removed that much faster.
So unless we've just had a big fight and I've said I never want to interact with you again or something similar then don't be too concerned if I remove you from my friends list.

And even if you're not on it you aren't missing much. I've made all of three friends-only posts in the life of this journal. Two were because they were about some new Girl I was pobsessing over that read my journal and I didn't want to skew things by having them read the stuff in the post too soon. The other was me posting my Cell phone # in sucgh a way that the entire world wouldn't have access to it."
