Snow, snow, snow.
Feb. 17th, 2003 03:54 pm"Bloody lot of snow. I shoveled about 6-8" of it at 10am, and saw Carol off at 11am. I'm nervous about her driving back to Toronto in a Blizzard, but apparently the worst of the storm is rapidly moving east while she's heading west so with luck she drove out of the worst of it around Albany. But I am still anxiously awaiting word that she's home safe.
After seeing her off I went and got breakfast then got to work for noon. Worked an hour and a half which mainly consisted of Fun With Trucks (will prolly post about it in
improbable_cars), then was sent home at 1:30pm. Got home to discover the plow truck had left a pile at the end of the driveway taller than The Cat's hood. I floored it and punched through, shooting snow over the hood onto the windshield then slewed into the snow covered driveway.
Around 2pm my sister and I went out and cleared the 6" that had acummulated in the four hours since I last cleared it. I just looked outside a 1/2hour ago and there is at least another 2-3" on the driveway again.
So we're mostly snowed in here, one of our cats is snowed in at some friends two houses down."
