(I just realized I never actually posted about this dispite the fact many Boston ppl read this. I am stupid sometimes)
"I just wanted to invite people to come down to the
Larz Anderson Auto Museum on July 18 & 19th (Fri & Sat) for the
Altwheels Festival. Altwheels is poised to be one of the largest gatherings of alternative fuel vehicles, bicycles and artcars in the northeast.
We will have Artcars there, motorized flights of fancy. Come see these wildly decorated and modified vehicles. There will be artcar workshops throughout the day, as well as artists working on their creations. We will even have community artcars there, where you can join in the creation of an artcar.
We will also have alternative fuel vehicles there. From biodeisel to hybrids to electrics and everything in between. Come see a vehicle drive in gas-powered and leave running on alternative fuel. Take a Toyota Prius for a test drive, and receive a coupon for $500 off the purchase of one (Honda and Ford will also be offering discount coupons on their hybrid vehicles). Even check out the classic Stanley Steamers, showing alternative fuels are nothing new.
Come look at the bicycles, several bike shops will have a range of vehicles on display. In addition mass bike and other local bicycle clubs will be in attendance. There will even be a Segway there.
We will also have workshops and various panels on a variety of alternative transportation topics. More information on this and many other items there is availible on
the website.
There will be a $5 per-person entry fee, this goes directly to support the museum. The event runs from 10am-5pm both days.
Thank you for your time."
