Son of a...
Aug. 25th, 2003 09:00 am"So I am, sitting here, intending ot check my email breifly before going to work, except that I am sitting waiting for the headers of 675 emails to download.
A bunch are that same stupid virus I have already set a filter to delete, but a whole lot more are failure notices by various ISPs. So unless it managed to infect me and sent several hundred messages dispite Eudora not having been opened in a few days it appears someone is spamming from a fake blert.net address.
This is highly annoying.
I am used to and sort of resigned to getting 100+ emails a day, most of them spam. I figure it comes with owning myown domain. But this is insane."
Update: It appears that stupid virus is sending from a fake blert.net address, or rather multiples of them. And the messages keep coming in, I haven't finished sorting/deleting the current crop and at least 30 more have showed up. They are almost all bounces from various ISPs. Does anyone have a link to info on this Virus?
