"I have the coldest room in the apartment, it is consistantly about 10 degrees cooler in there than the rest of the apartment[1]. And when I set the room up back in Febuary I put the bed in the furthest corner from the vent, in the corner of the two external walls, between the two (drafty) windows.
So today I fixed that. I moved the bed to the corner nearest the heat vent, a corner with one outside wall and one shared by the bathroom. Plus with the bookcases & dresser in the old bed corner, they'll prolly provide some (miniscule) insulation.
I once again had a round of 'mystery garments found when moving the bed'. Last time it was a t-shirt which did not belong to any of the women who had shared that bed. Much later it was determined to be IslandGirl's shirt, dispite her never having shared that bed with me (much to my regret). this time it's a cheap black leather-ish wrist cuff. It definitely isn't mine, and I don't recall who's it could be.
But I like the new layout. In theory it should be a bit warmer to sleep there, and it actually improves the flow of the room some. One now see's the side of hte bed upon entering, rather than being confronted by the side of the dresser *right* at the entrance to the room.
I still want a canopy bed though. A real one with side curtains and all."
