"I've known for a bit that the apartment needed heavy cleaning for the party on Saturday. However work this week has been crazy as I have been training THREE new techs. And every store I've been training at has been at least an hour away. Today though I finally got some stuff done. The Alley Cat had washed the bathroom, which saved me an hours scrubbing right there. So I swept all the floors and started scrubbing them. The bathroom and hallway floors were gross enough to require changing the water after doing just those (and its not like they actually looked that bad, just a couple months worth of winter grime ground in I guess. After getting a fresh bucket of soapy water I tackled the kitchen. Ghods that floor was gross, being the first room entered from the outside the floor was changing color as I scrubbed the grime off it. But now it looks worlds better and with that mess cleaned the apartment overall looks much more presentable.
- Still to be done:
- finish sweeping office.
- scrub, or at least mop hardwood floors
- vacuum living room rug
- clean up 40 gallons of Legos (unless my party guests particularly want to play with them).
- put clean laundry away.
- do a load or two of laundry (including sheets)
- overall straighten room
- pick up my random crap strewn about apartment.
