question for my electrical geek friends

  Would a momentary pushbutton switch rated for 3amp at 125volts AC be sufficient and safe to use on a circuit that has no more than 3-5amp at 12volts DC?
  Specificly I'm trying to find a very small switch to run a windshield washer pump in my '62 Comet. But the only momentary automotice switches I can find are either toggles or huge starter pushbuttons. Niether of which I have the space to mount out of the way."

Website update

The Fleetwood's page and Scar's page have both been updated to show the fact I no longer have either car. Plus there are pics of what the fleetwood looked like jsut before I sold her in the 'plans' part of that page. Also I have added 'suspension upgrade' & 'interior' pages to the creation part of Scar's page. And the Patchworks page now matches the color scheme of the rest of blert.net, even if it is otherwise still crap.
