"For the one or two of you who care. After the whole stupid putty problem I've been ignoring the bookshelves for a while. Thursday I finally scrubbed out the old putty and re-did the holes with proper wood filler.
Today I sanded down all the filler with a borrowed orbital sander, then re-puttied the holes that were still too low. Need to wait for that to dry and re-sand. then I cut and installed the front trim. Unfortunately the 48.75" height ment the trim pieces aren't quite long enough. I think I'm goign to add 1" spacers at the bottom to take up the extra space, but that can wait until next round.
Need to wait fo rthe putty to dry, then re-sand and add spacers. Then I can finally prime and stain.
Then after that I get to build bookcases # 3&4."
