home from hospital
May. 28th, 2006 05:25 pmand typing one handed. 13 stitches all total in my left arm. no nerve damage, no broken limbs just a really nasty cut. caught my arm between the car and a tree as it was rolling and peeled a 2" wide patch behind my wirst wide open. you could clearly see musxcle & veins as there was none of thatm inconvinient skin in the way.
hospital was fine, was in the 'stupid ppl' room with A guy that stuck his hand in a lawnmower and a guy that sat on a knife. am home now with the stitches, a splint (bruised every part of my left forearm and thewrist hurts a lot), and apainkiller script.
Subaru has dents all down the driver's side and a torn off mirror. plus other scrapes. annoying but not enough to impair functioning. may have PG jack her up and make sure there is no undercarriage damaged (had her towed home while iwas at the hospital).
Fey is here, and PG is coming down,so i have ppl to take care of me should i need it.

a minor retraction on status from before. turns out with futher prodding after numbing meds wore off that there is nerve damage. none to my hand or anything except for the area immediately within theU of thestitches and at the line of stitches on both sides. May come back, may not may be incorrect as there is some massivre damage to the skin layers there. will have to wait and see.
also not that happy with the quality of the stitch job. a bit more care could have been made toalign things better and make sure theupper layers were on top of thelower layers. but considering what he had to work with it is acceptible.
hurt like a fucker while i had the dressing off and was showering, but now with more bacitracin and a new bandage and 800mg of ibuprophen it feels like a bad rug burn, ezxcept that my wrist hurts if i move it or my fingers too much. but the wrist brace is helping loads there. wiil have vicoden tomorrow if i need them.
