This is just not fair. I've been working my ass off for the last two weeks straight trying to get the new drivetrain into Emily. And Every time I think some progress is being made, something else goes wrong.
driveshaft was too short
shock platres were supposed to take 2 days, took 5 days and two different shops to get them done right
then it wouldn't crank
when I got it to crank there was no spark
when I fixed the spark and got it to run I discovered the carb was leaking. Then discovered the transmission was leaking.
discovered the rear brake hose wouldn't fit and no one could get the right one for two weeks.
figured out a temp fix for the brakes to discover the brake shoe reatiners are scraping the drums when the car is moving. (still ahve yet to fix this)
fixed the trans leak when the car started bucking and not staying running.
fixed the carb leak & figured out the bucking only to ahve the battery die.
jumped the car and got it to run only to discover that the transmission thinks every gear is neutral.
The trans may be fucked. It was working two days ago. Now it may need to be rebuilt or replaced. I'm so fucking tired, and so freaking broke and I feel like I'm not getting any closer to done. Especially now since the transmission will almost certainly need to come out again.
FUCK! I just want this project to be done and for her to run right. I'm well over $1000 into it at this point (I stopped keeping track because ti was depressing me), and instead of the sorta running car I had before, I have a completely non-running car now.
I want to jsut relax and let her sit for a week or two before diving back in. But I know seeing her sitting ther in the driveway will drive me nuts ever time.
