I KEEEELLLL LENSCRAFTERS!
Nov. 25th, 2006 09:33 pmI was going to write this out, but I don't feel up to it. Here is the short version.
10-25: Order new glasses and frames. they are $300 after a 30% AAA discount. Is a 2-week special order due to the strength of my prescription.
11-6: I am informed my lenses are in and ready. I go to pick them up and a few seconds of wearing give me a blinding headache. A check shows one lens is defective. I am told new ones will be ordered and it will be 2 weeks.
11-21: I call for status on my order. I am told the lens are in. I ask them to double-check they are correct. They do and I am told that these are the same lenses as on the 6th. Replacements were never ordered and they have been sitting the whole time. I am told they will rush order replacements and the store manager offers me a 20% refund once they come in.
11-25: I am told my lenses are actually in. I as them to double check everything is right. I am told they have, but that they will triple check. I go in. I wait 10minutes to be helped. I am given my new glasses and the salesperson walks away before I even try them on. The lenses are right, however the frames are visibly bent, the finish is badly scratched up and both lens screws are cross-threaded and the heads are stripped.
At this point I demanded my money back. All I can suggest to people is to avoid the Lenscrafters at Buckland Mall at all costs, and possibly all Lenscrafters stores.
Course after this whole month of hassle I still don't have new glasses, and now have to start the process all over again at another store.
