So I'm cruising my favorite traditional ho rods forum, and see a post title 'Poly-Friendly Businesses List'. I stared at this for a while, I just couldn't picture why a group of Pabst Blue Ribbon drinking, hot rod driving blue-collar guys would care about what businesses catered to multiple relationships. So I click though.
It is a listing of businesses that cater to or have good knowledge of Mopar polyspherical head V8 engines. Which made it much less confusing, but much more entertaining.

Nice!

So I just booked my hotel room for the Saturday night of Flea. Instead of the official overflow hotel, I'm at the Extended Stay America - Danvers.

It is 1.9 miles from the Flea hotel (vs 1.5 for the overflow hotel). It is fairly new and gets good reviews (to the reviews of dated worn facilities and unhelpful staff for the overflow hotel). And it is $67.50/night[1] with my AAA discount (vs. a 'special' $102/night rate for the overflow hotel[2]). And if I end up not needing the room for whatever reason, I can cancel by 6pm on that Sat and not be charged.

So now I don't need to deal with having to drive back to CT that night, and for significantly less than if I stayed at the official hotel. I call that a win.

[1]Granted that is for one queen bed and the Flea hotel rate is probably (though the Flea site doesn't specify) for two doubles or a king. But the rate for a king at the Extended stay? $72. And for two doubles? $76.50.

[2] Extra bonus comparison, Yahoo lists $78/night as the nightly rate for the overflow hotel.
