Weekend in Review
May. 20th, 2007 09:24 pmFriday was the Poly Social here at the apartment. Only four people showed up, but it ended up being very enjoyable. I got to spend time talking with interesting people in a relaxed group, rather than bop around playing host like I've had to at these in the past.
Then after people left at 11pm I drove up to my sweetie's at Boston. Driving through dark and rain to get there at 1am. Why? Because I'm insane, that's why.
Saturday morning was largely spent lazing around her place. We did go out to breakfast (was sorely disappointed by Kelly's Diner in Ball Square, where I'd had good food before), but that was about it. Just a lazy day for us.
On my way home I stopped at the mall to try and use some gift cars I had, no luck there. But it turned out one of the places had Wiis in stock. Fey has wanted one for a while so I called her and she told me to get it for her.
We ended up playing the darned thing until late into the night. Wii Sports is a pretty good workout, I was definitely working up a sweat, and today my arms and shoulders are sore. I'm going to have to get in the habit of playing this a couple times a week, I could use the exercise.
Today I spent most of the day trying to help Velvet get his van running. He's been fighting with it for weeks with no luck. Well we got it to run, but not in a fixed sort of way. But we're pretty sure it is a failing fuel pump. We acquired a new one, but the 7 hours of work at the that point and ominous sky made us decide to hold off the install til tomorrow or Tuesday.
This Wednesday is Car Chase movie night again. This week is likely the original 1974 "Gone in 60 Seconds". As always everyone is invited. Show up around 6pm, movie goes in around 6:30pm.
