I am annoyed, with a side of stressed.
I took the Subaru apart to fix a wheel bearing yesterday, with the plan that I'd get the bearing replaced today while at work and put it together again tonight. Well it turns out I need a hub, which is likely to be dealer-only and I can't even find out until tomorrow a)how much it is and b)if they have it in stock. So I have no idea when I'd have the bearing assembly done so I can put the car back together.
The Bug is running hot, so I don't want to drive it long distances, and the mechanic can't look at it until Tuesday. And
Emily is still in pieces in the garage.
This is all very frustrating as I have a date Friday night in Boston, and am going to the junkyard in RI on Saturday. Both of which I need a highway-capable car for.
I'm getting tempted to rent a car for Fri & Sat so I can do the stuff I want to do even if cars are not done. Though I have no idea when I'd fit the picking up and dropping off of said rental into the weekend plans.
Feh. You'd think with three cars the likelihood that at least one would be fully functional would be better.
