Ok, I'm a hopeless Car Geek.
Aug. 1st, 2007 05:46 pmSomeone on an artcar mailing list linked to this "Cars We Drove in the 50s & 60s" flash. It's a dorky little "memory lane" piece.
Thing is, I started watching it, and almost immediately was pointing out every screwup in it. Cars shown as "stock" that are customized, cars shown as "customized" that are stock. Cars from the wrong era, cars customized in post 50s/60s styles. Incorrectly named accessories ("side laker pipes" vs the correct "lake pipes"), incorrectly identified cars, etc.
And now I'm mildly peeved at the creators of it. If you're going to make a flash video about what things were like back then, at least make sure your info is correct and that your cars are from the time you're trying to be nostalgic about.
