Lila Verone, Saucy Aviatrix!
Oct. 11th, 2007 08:05 amIn our last installment Lila, aided by her trusty mechanic Wildcat, discovered their good friend the Professor had been carried off by what could only be described as Radio Controlled Gorillas! Wildcat was able to rig the radio so they could locate the source of the strange radio signals. When they'd tracked them back to the ominously names "Skull Rock", it was only Lila's amazing flying skill that saved her beloved plane "Pearl" from being taken out by a mysterious bolt of lightning. Being forced to land in the jungle, it was only their combined skill and pluck helped them to defeated the evil German scientists, free the Professor and his assistants, and and stop their terrible mind control experiments. Their adventures culminated in a daring nighttime dogfight over the jungle, in which they defeated the head of the scientists before she could escape to Berlin with the plans for her dangerous inventions.
What will happen this week? Tune in for the next installment of Lila Verone, Saucy Aviatrix!
As you may have guessed from that, I'm currently involved in a Pulp Stories style game (I'm Wildcat, the trusty mechanic sidekick). The game is set in the pulp version of Africa in the 1930's. The above is a much condensed version of our first couple gaming sessions.
the thing is, we've been trying to come up with background music for the game, to help get & keep us in the right mood. Thus far this has pretty much meant humming the Indiana Jones theme song over and over. So I ask you, residents of LJ land, to suggest music that would help set the appropriate tone. Names of songs/artists would be great, mp3s would be even more awesome.
