Oct. 14th, 2008 02:50 pmThis Saturday I once again took Box out autocrossing. I enjoyed it so much the last time I decided to join the FCSCC which runs the events. It'll get me a discount on future events and let me get in on their members-only runs.
Overall runs went well, with me consistently knocking down my times. I ended the day 7th of 10 in my class, not bad for my second time out and in a fridge on wheels. I was only .099 of second slower then the 6th place car.
There is one more non-points event this year, and I'm already looking forward to next year. I've got the bug bad enough I am pondering getting some high performance autocross-only tires for Box for next year. And worse I'm half pondering building an autocross prepared car next year to compete in 2010. Fortunately(?) I have a lack of garage space keeping that a pipe dream.
