Sadly, basic reading comprehension is not a requirement to vote.

A co-worker just sent out an email with the text quoted in this Snopes article, with a link to this other Snopes article as proof that what Obama said was true.

It took about ten minutes of arguing, and then finally having her bring the two articles up side by side and reading the claims at the top of them to begin to get through to her that the articles were two completely different ones with different subject matter. I'm still not sure that she grasps that the text that she was sending around is faked.
