I need to stop searching for trailers
Apr. 21st, 2009 10:32 am...because I keep finding them.

Same era as the other scotty, same size, appears to be much better condition(no visibly water-damaged panels, no torn up interior). At the moment nearly half as much (but who knows where the auction will go).
I also *finally* found a weight for these trailers. They are supposedly 975lbs empty. Which is a bit close to the estimated 1000lb trailer rating of the xB. However I was already planning to yank the stove, icebox & sink. I don't trust a 40+ year old propane stove, coolers cool better, and the sink mean having to deal with filling & draining & winterizing water tanks/lines. And I wanted to replace the ancient inner-spring cushions with much lighter foam ones. I think with that and some other mods I think I can drop the trailer weight 100lbs easily. That brings it into a realistically towable range. And even with all that work(and even some possible rot repairs), it is much easier than building a trailer from scratch.
