Autocrossed this weekend.
Jun. 1st, 2009 01:02 pmI and my SO went to our first real autocrossing event this weekend. It was nice to get to an event again, but we were ill prepared and by the end of the day we were over-hot, over-sunned, and over-tired.
I had a rubbish day and went *way* off course 3 of my 7 runs, and could not improve my times any useful amount on the runs where I stayed on course.
My SO was running her MR2 for the first time, and did pretty well. Which she wasn't hugely fast, her times kept improving over the course of the day. And once the indexed our times for the different classes, she was about two seconds faster than me.
Looking forward to the next event, but am definitely goign to be better prepared wit ha shade structure, a cooler of cold beverages, snacks and a proper night's sleep beforehand.
