Arisia

I'm doing it again. Every year I have brilliant plans for costuming/props/whatever for Arisia, and every year they get pushed off til the last minute so I'm running around like a madman in the weeks beforehand trying to get everything done.
This year it is more for auntiemame67 and I's steampunk outfits. I have already had to scrap the wings for myself I'd planned as it took too long to find a suitable starting point and that needed more work than planned so the whole project has no chance of both being finished and looking not-crappy in time. But even without that there are upgrades to my stilts, changing my Nerf chaingun into an arm-mounted version, making her custom goggles, making a matched holster so she can have a pair of Nerf pistols, and (possibly but looking unlikely) finishing her double-barreled DOOM gun. To give you an idea how mad this is getting, here is my shopping list for later today & tomorrow:

• 2 tins of altoids
  
• at least a dozen more brass nuts & bolts
  
• 2-3 large novelty fake pills (assuming we can find ones large enough)
  
• more leather strapping
  
• more buckles
  
• 2-3+ small pressure gauges (if I can find ones cheap enough)

It looks like there is a chance we might end up being able to share a room in the main hotel, which would rock. If not we have a room in the overflow hotel and someone willing to let us store stuff in their room in the main hotel.
I'm really looking forward to Arisia this year, as I could use some fun. I'm curious who on my friends list is planning to be there?
