I nearly forgot to post.

"So I've been wearing this little metal lizard pendant around my neck for years. I got it back in '96 and never really knew why I bought it, I just liked it. The original leather necklace broke ages ago, and I replaced it with a silver necklace my father bought for me in Poland. The silver plating had mostly rubbedoff, and he was missing a few body parts (one left, one foot, and one toe).
Well yesterday I discovered that he had lost another leg. I decided it was finally time to put him to rest. Fortunately my dear friend [R] had found me a very simmilar salamander pendant a while back, so I putthat on the necklace as a replacement.
It feels kinda weird though, no longer wearing the other one. It's one of the few things that has stayed consistant about me through all that time.
*shrug* I should prolly not think to deeply on this one."

It's awfully hard to imagine you without the lizard pendant. Perhaps, the next time you see me, you could wear a name tag? Just to be sure there won't be any awkward recognition problems.

Or perhaps not. Maybe I'll be taken in by the salamander.

I hope the salamander suffices, and I'm honored that you'll be wearing it. *hugs*
