"Well I spent a couple hours today catching up on all the back email I was supposed to send. Now I'm supposed to start on the two sections of blert.net I've been planning to do for a while. One is a page about the upcoming ArtCar caravan to the Houston ArtCar parade, which I'm hoping to update from the road. Part of why I'm being pathetic about this is that to update with pictures I need a flashcard reader that plugs into a parallel port, and it's likely going to be around $55-$60, which I can ill afford right now.
The worst part is that my sister wanted to get me one for my B-day. So she went to Target where they told her they carried them but were out of stock, so she got me a gift-card for the amount of the USB card reader figuring the parallel port reader would be around the same. Well when I went to Target I found out that they don't carry the Parallel port reader, the guy had been misinformed or lied to my sister. And Target doesn't want to give me back a refund on the gift-card. I'm going to head over there again today and see if I can talk them into giving me my money back. But I don't have high hopes for it."

I hate Target

"The subject about sums it up. I talked to the ppl at the store, and even called their customer help line. the response basicly came down to "I'm sorry, I understand why you are upset, and I agree that the employee should not have told you that we carried something we don't. But tough shit you're stuck with the gift card."
I found what I need on a website for about $35 with shipping, so if I could have gotten my money back I could have gotten what I need."
