Packing

"So I've done all the packing for the trip, except for some last minute stuff I need at my mom's place (tentpegs, etc...). I keep going over the stuff I've packed doing the 'I swear I forgot something!', I need to remind myself that there will be stores along the way, that not picking something up now doesn't mean I won't be able to get it later.
The new hood still needs to be put on, that'll be done some time today before we leave Holyoke. That and having [A] cut my hair are the only two things left to be done here. Then we head off to [C]'s place in Ct and we're leaving from there first thing Sunday morning.
[R] in addition to making a generous donation to the trip, also is getting me the card-reader for my camera so I can upload pics on the road. It's being shipped to the friend's place in Nashville we're crashing at, and I'll pick it up there.
I'm alternating between stressed beyond belief, and a sort of supernatural calm. I have realized that at this point it is too late to not go to Houston, so no matter what I am going. Even if I end up adding quotes while waiting in line for the parade to start, I'm still going to Houston and going to be in the parade."
