A good day
Aug. 12th, 2001 05:08 pm"Snday was a ton of fun. Woke up after spending he night snuggled uo with [C]. We then met Velvet and headed up to RI.
First stop was a junkyard on the MA/RI border. We spent several hours rummaging through wrecks and looking at all the cool cars. I scored a retracable cargo area cover for The Cat that is just begging to have something painted on it. I also scored some interrior lights off some Audi that will work well I think as lights for when I'm camping out in The Cat.
Then the CT artcar caravan wound our way to Providence, more specificly to Freeloop Studios/White Electric Cafe for a small artcar gathering there. We spent the rest of the afternoon talking and hanging out with ppl (with one quick jaunt to Thayer St for lunch). During this time we handed out prototype stickers for the New England artcar club I'm starting. The Society of Artcars in New England, aka SANE (thought up that idea because having artcars with a sticker in the back window that says 'SANE' amused me terribly). I also aquired an aproximately 5 foot tall wood cutout of a spaceman from the old 'Spacemand Project' art installation in Providence.
[C] left around 6pm to head up to Boston, Velvet, his g/f and I hung out until around 9pm when we headed off home. I got home safe, pulled into the driveway, and decided I didn't feel like going into the house and sleep in my bed, so I curled up in the back seat of The Cat and slept until around 4am, when I awoke and wandered insde to sleep for a few more hours before work."
