One updated story, as promised. (part one at least)

"Well I left work on Friday, headed home to pick up assorted stuff (and forgot about half of what I planned to bring, but that wwas ok as I wouldn't have used it anyway). After herding the cats inside and leaving them three bowls of food I hopped in The Cat and drove up to Vassar.
I spent friday night hanging out with various groups of ppl. At one point someone wanted to show HIghlander in his room, so we all tramped over there to watch. Except that I had picked up $160 worth of Lego kits on clearance at work for $61, so I went and got those out of The Cat and built them while watching the movie.
Once the movie was over I and The Hawaiian Goth (henceforth known as THG) headed back to her room and drifted off to sleep, as we had to be up at 7:30am the next day.

We got up at that obcenely early hour (actualy only a 1/2hr later than my usual get up time, but on a saturday), showered and dressed for the day. She was in renn garb, I not having any dressed all in black with my long black frock coat. Everyone gathered in the lobby, then headed off in different cars to the faire.
We ended up meeting up with another ofthe cars from Vassar on the road just before we got to the Faire. Once we had parked we hung around in the parking lot for a while before heading in. While we were there I remembered that I had the two rabbit skins in The Cat from my trip to NYC earlier that month, so I retrieved them and pinned them onto the shoulders of my frock coat. I then went around telling people I was a nortic goth.
We then shortly entered the Renn Faire.
