"So The Cat hates Boston for some reason. Always has. I'm beginning to understand why.
We wound up going to Boston to see DocElf even though apple picking got cnaceled. On the way up in the rain I stopped for a rotory and skidded on the rain/wet leaves. Well the SUV behind me skidded too, and smacked into The Cat's rear bumper.
The damage is not bad, the bumpers a bit crunched, and the 'CAUTION WEIRD LOAD' is all scratched to hell. But it could have been worse. The amusing part if the force of the impact knocked the (admittedly poorly secured) radio right out of the dashboard and onto the floor.
I and the other driver exchanged info, and we agreed that I'd get an estimate for the repairs and contact him so he could decide if he wanted to pay for it or have the insurance company pay for it.
I'm goign to get an honest estimate, and pass it on to the guy. But I'm planning to get a junkyard bumper and do the repairs myself, and spend the rest of the money on other repairs for The Cat. I consider this perfectly honest, as the money is going to repairing The Cat, even if it's not hte repairs from the accident."

P.S. Yes I took pictures of the damage, and I'll post them as soon as I get the moff the camera

"So I went to see Doc Elf even though apple picking wasn't going to happen. Well the skies cleared and the day was beautiful, so we went. It was a blast the orchard smelled heavenly of apples and the apples were delicious (I ate at least three in the 30-40min we were there). I have a peck of assorted apples, and I also picked up some fresh-made cider there as well.
Then we return home and DocElf made an amazing apple-pecan torte for dessert. I do so love her cooking.
It was a throughly enjoyable day."
