This seems to have escaped one of my managers, who gets incredibly pissed off and abusive/defensive if she thinks anyone is 'disrespecting' her.
The f'instance of this from yesterday is that I was on lunch, off the clock and on my way from the backroom (where I had picked up my book after returning from attaining food) to the breakrom. On the way a customer asked for some help and I (with book, drink, and bag 'o food in hand) got on my headset and asked someoen to come over. No one answered so I asked again, and she snapped 'Why can't you do it?' so I snapped back 'I'm on lunch!' She proceeded to the yell at me over the radio (which customers could overhear from both ends) and tell me that if I was on lunch I should stay in the breakroom. When I told her that was where I had been heading she yelled some more. I finally snapped 'Fine from now on if I'm on lunch I'll ignore the customers, since that is apparently how you want me to provide good guest service.' and shut the radio off.
A few minutes later she burst into the breakroom and ranted at me some more about my 'negative attitude' and my 'snappy comments' and how she was going to get respect and be respected by people. Then she put me on warning and threatened to write me up if I did anything like it again.
I spent the rest of the day actively avoiding her, and at one point had to restrain myself fromv firing off a fairly nasty comment when she was extremely abusive and disrespectful to another employee there."
