apartment update

  "Power was not on this whole weekend because I called on Thurs and the soonest appointment was for tues (tomorrow). Fri we brought two car loads of stuff, then it all sorta stalled. Couldn't be there after dark or in the real cold because no power = no heat or lights.
  I can't bring Emily over until the landlord gets some of the previous tenant's stuff out of the garage (should either be done or will be done soon). So I haven't bothered to deal with fixing her brakes (though I do have the part I need to do the fixing). Goign to once garage is cleared out, fix emily, pack as much of the basement/garage crap as I can in her and just leave her in the garage in the new place to be delt w/ later.
  Can't pack much more at the moment as what is left is things I need on a day-to-day basis. I think Fey & I are going to try for a run of furniture over there tomorrow to check that the power is on and the heat works.
  I would really love to do a thrash fest of moving shit and just start living there asap, but I'm not sure if I can get the needed bodies & crap co-ordinated for that."

MOVING HELP REQUEST

  "Fey & I are going to try and get a truck to move our big furniture (couch, futon, beds, buffet, etc.) on Monday the 2nd. We're goign to get the truck that morning, and keep it til that evening or the next day, depending on how seems like it'll work out. We both have the day off, but if ppl don't and want to come over after work that would be great too.
  Unless you want to/are willing to, this move isn't going to involve a lot of little boxes and fiddly junk, just the larger pieces of furniture. So big crap needs to be moved, but not a lot of it.
  Standard bribes of food apply. Also if you ask nice we may let you help throw the kitchen cart off the porch and/or take a sawzall to the desk."
