"Had a long talk with the female half of the couple that is our old landlords. Feel much better about the whole situation. While they don't do walkthroughs if they find any issues they'll give us a chance to correct them ourselves before charing us, and they will check the oil level the day we hand over the keys and pay us from that level and not from what it might be when they fianlly get new tenants.
Course since the husband is the one who has sent all the snippy letters and messages, and he was in the other room and could hear our convo and didn't bother to make himself known (I could clearly see his shadow on the wall through a doorway) I am still a slight bit nervous about if his actions will match her words.
Going to go take a pile of photos of the place inc. of the oil level guage today or tomorrow before keys get handed over."

"At some point I should prolly pack for Arisia. Fortunately at the worst that should take me about a 1/2hr-hr. Gah I haven't even thought much about Arisia with the whole move thing. *shrug* Not like cons take a whole lot of planning to have fun at."
