I saw DragonGirl yesterday
Jan. 29th, 2006 11:17 am"The last I had seen or heard from her she and her SO had moved from boston to way north in Vermont. And then I haven't heard from her in any format in the 2.5 years since then.
She does have a habit of going crazy for a bit and dropping off the face of the planet. But she'd been out of touch for so long I'd been really worrying.
And yesterday at the Flea she randomly came up to me and gave me a hug.
She's still living in VT, and ended things with her SO a few months back. She's now got a place of her own, a new SO, and is managing a book store. And most importantly, she seemed happy, really genuinely happy.
We talked for a while, caught up on our respective lives. She was amused that I work in insurance, sympathetic about the death of The Cat, and deeply happy for me that I finally have a classic car of my own.
She isn't currently online, but we exchanged addresses and phone humbers and a promise to keep in touch. Then she wandered off into the Flea.
I can't begin to articulate how glad I am to see her again, and more importantly to know she is doign well and is happy. It is like this small weight I didn't even know was there has been lifted.
I need to remember to write her a letter soon."
