Indecision and deja vu
Jan. 15th, 2007 05:16 pmSo I have been pondering what to do for Flea. After the hassle of trying to find crash space at Arisia, and failing on Sat and needing to drive home at 1am, I'm thinking having a place to crash for at least Sat. night of Flea is appealing.
But then the flipside is that I'm not sure I'll find enough at Flea to entertain myself on my own until late enough to find that relevant. And as of now company is an unknown, but leaning towards unlikely. But Flea is way north of Boston so it makes the drive even further if I go home. And Friday is the Boston Poly Diesel thingy, which I haven't been to in a while.
If I keep waffling this much, I'm going to need some syrup.
Related to this, I've been researching hotels for Flea. The primary hotel is full, and the secondary hotel is likely to be full as well (and has mediocre reviews). But with a little poking a found an Extended Stay America just a little further down rte 1 from the other two that has good reviews. It also appears to only be $70/night (vs. $102 for the official hotels). I was looking at the Yahoo listing for the hotel, and couldn't figure out why it looked so familiar. Then I realized I'd been there before. It was the hotel of duality and wide toilets that my last job put me up in back in '05. So if I do decide to stay there, I need to remember to bring soap...
