So yeah, after poking at it for a while we left, without even bothering to take it for a test drive. I will say the guy was right, photos can lie, I did need to come see it in person. Now I know with certainty that it isn't even worth $1,000, let alone the $4,000 he wants for it.

After that I drove Velvet to a friend's place in NJ where he was borrowing a van for the weekend. His friend has the coolest collection of cars.
He's got two Corvair Greenbriar vans, a Corvair Monza, a VW Van, a Subaru 360 Van, a Fiat Multipla and a BMW 600. Any one of those would be cool enough on its own, all of them together in one place was just awesome. He also has a really great garage, with tons of room, fully plumbed air, and a huge loft for storage. It is exactly the sort of place I want someday. Click on the pic to the right for pics of all his neat toys.
And for extra bonus coolness, this was the van that Velvet was borrowing for the weekend. A fully restored Corvair Greenbriar camper van.
After admiring cars and BSing with Velvet for a while I leisurely drove back up to Hartford. Once I got back I worked on Emily for a while, then hung around the apartment for the rest of the night.
Today has been mostly working on Emily. I got major amounts of work done on both the top and bottom of the floors, and completely restored the heater system, including replacing all the gaskets. No more cold breezes at the legs of passengers.
Now I'm back inside and about to get cleaned up (I have paint *all* over). I'm trying to find something to do tonight or somewhere to go, as I don't feel like hanging around the apartment for another night.
