Weekend wrap-up, randomness and annoyance.
Jun. 3rd, 2007 04:29 pmI spent from 9am to 5:30pm on Saturday working on the new bug. An insane amount of time, but I got an insane amount of work done on the car.
Then I had to clean up and dash to Boston for two different parties I'd been invited to. Ended up at the first one much longer than expected because a cute girl was snuggling with me. Ended up giving said cute girl a lift home, then went to 2nd party. Had a good time there for the cuple hours I could retain awareness, then went upstairs and passed out.
This morning I helped with brunch preparations, but had to leave before it was all ready to come down to CT and help my mom open our weekend cottage for the year (must plan parties...). After that was done I had lunch at a great hamburger stand near the cottage and came home.
Apparently we have a new ice cream truck in our neighborhood, it plays "It's a Small World" with weird 'boing' sound effects to punctuate the ends of verses.
Just had an annoying buzz-kill for the fun of the weekend to come home to an email to the Western MA poly lists from my ex PG. She and I both run[1] the lists, and she's decided to step down from being involved in them. She never mentions me by name, and just as "an out-of-stater" nor even makes it clear that there *is* another moderator. She even lists the requirements of the job as being everything related to the lists, including the stuff I've been doing all along.
[1] I own the events list and she co-mods it, and she owns the discussion list and I co-mod that. And we've traded off the running of the events, with me doing most of it lately as she's been to overloaded.
