Jun. 8th, 2007 11:51 amSo the beginning of this week the video card on my computer died pretty dramatically (frozen screen, wouldn't recognize that the card had been disabled, wouldn't boot with card removed, wouldn't reboot with bad card re-installed, then finally booted normally without the card). So until I get a new one I'm down to a single monitor running off the built-in card.
Tuesday was the Poly Discussion group, which was decently attended. Good on and off topic discussion with cool people, so a nice night out.
Wednesday was Car Chase Movie Night. The planned movie was preempted by "The Van". And let me just say that movie may just be one of the most painfully bad pieces of cinema I have seen in a very long time. And this is coming from someone who's favorite episode of MST3K is "Red Zone Cuba".
"The Van" is on a DVD with "C.B. Hustlers", which from all reports is even worse. We may have to skip that one, as I'm not sure we'd survive the experience.
Tonight is the Poly Diner meet up in Amherst, then Saturday afternoon is a poly BBQ. Aside from that I don't have anything planned for the weekend. So unless any opportunities come up I'll likely spend it working on cars. I was hoping some stuff for Emily would show up, but according to UPS it was last seen leaving Arizona two days ago.
