Weekend in review
Jun. 17th, 2007 06:26 pmFriday I drove up to Boston, and had a nice date. We had dinner then hung out with her housemates for a while. After I left so she could get to sleep I called my sweetie up there and ended up giving her a lift home from a friend's place, then hanging out with her for a bit. I was offered crash space but decided to make the drive home at a bit after midnight, as...
Saturday morning at 8:30am I got up. Picked Velvet up and we had breakfast at The Pantry, then headed out to Henry's junkyard in MA.
Had not luck there, the parts I needed were either non-existent or for the wrong year cars. I also go (minorly) stung by a hornet and whacked my head on the liftgate of a truck.
Came back home, dropped Velvet off just before the skies opened, and watched the rain poor down (I apparently got to Hartford a few minutes after the hail).
A nap was followed by scrubbing the hell out of Emily's back seat, and other interior trim in preparation for re-installation.
Today I once again picked up Velvet, and we hit Mo's Midtown for breakfast, followed by the Litchfield Bug-In VW show & swap meet. I saw some pretty cars, had mine complemented, picked up a few small pieces for the bug, and got a line on others. I also discovered I was an idiot (put the wrong octane gas in the bug, which accounted for it's poor performance since then) and gave myself an impressive sunburn.
I just finished another nap, and will shortly be grazing the house for food, followed by deciding if I want to dive back into the garage again. It would be pretty awesome if I could get Emily back together for next weekend.
