Car Chase movie night is tomorrow, and I have a question/dilemma. I wasn't sure if I was going to have Top Gear episodes in time, and Velvet offered the wonderfully awful Hot Rods to Hell. Which he described as a "carsploitation" movie.
However I now have the next two Top Gear episodes burned and ready to go.

So do we want to watch Hot Rods to Hell or Top Gear? I've got not strong opinions either way. No need to answer here, we can figure it out tomorrow evening. But I wanted to put it out there.

As usual, show up for Car Chase Movie Night ~6pm, and we'll order food with movie going in around 6:30pm. If anyone wants to come and needs directions, let me know.

This weekend we went to Ikea and picked up three of the desks I mentioned earlier. Built one this past weekend, and realized the original desk concept wouldn't work as there wasn't enough room as planned for three desks *and* people to use them. Pondered other orientations and came up with one non-optimal but usable one, though it required re-arrangement of the living room.

Today I assembled desk #2 (desk #3 will have to wait until I get my spare drill battery out of the icehouse formerly known as the garage), and Fey & I re-arranged the living room. I actually rather like the new setup for couch/chairs/tv/dvd bookcase. It takes up slightly less space then before, but doesn't feel cramped, and (to me) feels better laid out than the old setup. I suppose Car Chase Movie Night tomorrow will be the test of it.

Once the living room was moved around, Fey & I took another stab at arranging desks. Our new idea will work, though one desk occupant will have to move to let one other one out. I am mildly frustrated, as I keep swearing there is a method that will fit all three of us easily that I'm missing. But given there has been no great epiphany, we're going to go with this setup.

This is tangentially related to a discussion I was having yesterday. I am curious about something. The below questions have nothign to do with sex or anything like that. I'm curious about expectations and impressions of living space.

For those who have never seen my bedroom (in the last 4 years, prior to my moving to the first apartment with Fey & the Alley Cat doesn't count for this), could you describe what you imagine it is like? Anything from furniture style, to quality, to cleanliness, to layout.

For those who have seen it, was it what you expected? If not, what did you expect?

If I get a decent number of replies, and people are interested, I'll post pics of my bedroom so you can see how close you got.
