Still slogging along

I'm still here and still slogging along. The break in the weather over the last few days was a much-welcomed respite. I unfortunately spent much of it inside trying to get the apartment ready for me to move in the end of the month. That is progressing, but slowly with neither of the two rooms being completed. Hopefully things will come together and we'll have them both done by the end of the week.

Packing continues, but slowly as I try to figure out what can go into long-term storage, and find places for the packed boxes until I can get them to the cottage. Ran into an annoying snag in terms of storing my stuff in the basement there. I don't want to get into it, but it looks likely to make fitting my garage stuff down there much more difficult and complicated. Fun.

I am right now kinda going insane in a different way. I don't want to share too many details and possibly jinx it, but I located what could easily be my dream job, make me love going to work every day and even pay a living wage. Right now I am one of about seventeen people who have applied, and it looks like I'm probably near the bottom of the list in terms of skills, but hopefully near the top in terms of enthusiasm for the job/company and fit with the owner (which seems to be a big thing for him). So wish me the best with that.
